How many good songs does an album have to have before it's considered a "good" album? I talked about this briefly with John:

VoxHumano 4 tracks make a good album
VoxHumano
: I'm happy with that
candyman owns yu
: no, 10 tracks makes a good album
candyman owns yu  thats my new standard
candyman owns yu  if i dont like 10 of the tracks
candyman owns yu well
candyman owns yu 75%
candyman owns yu  if i dont like 75% of it it's not good

I think 75% is a good percentage to strive for... cos almost every album is gonna have its filler songs....i think yu have to like enough of the album that yu can listen to it from beginning to end and not want to skip any songs for it to be considered "good" <shrug> maybe i'm being too selective... thoughts?

I don't know whats lamer... the fact that i actually went out with the goal of buying the linkin park/jay-z cd... or the fact that it was sold out at best buy AND circuit city...

so since alias and 24 haven't started their seasons yet, it behooved me to find new shows to wash and i think i've settled on 2.... on the same network surprisingly enough...

ive never really been a hospital drama fan, in fact i pretty much hate them but house md is more than a hospital drama, it's about a total a-hole of a genius doctor and the catch is he's a cripple! ha! seriously though, after all of those commercials during the mlb playoffs of him screaming YOURE  RISKING A PATIENTS LIFE i wanted nothing to do with this show... but i watched the premiere after mikey said it was good and i'm hooked, solely on the fact that house is a total a-hole and completely entertaining...

the other show i've kinda gotten into is lost on abc... ive heard of this from people as good but it didnt seem that appealing... then i  found out that jj abrams (the creator of alias) and i figured that i had to give it a shot... it's sorta a combination of gilligans island/survivor/24  and it kiiinda works... im  surprised no one else has made a show with a similar premise before...

oh my god!!!! (sidenote) im watching house right now and he's playing metroid on his gameboy instead of treating a patient! thats awesome! what a great guy

anyway, i think lost is pretty cool how the story is told through flashbacks... it makes things more compelling since we reallly have no idea the backgrounds on any of the characters which leads to some interesting character dynamics since no one knows anyone in the show either...

so anyway i give lost an 8/10 and house a 10/10 for house's character and a 5/10 for the actual show. (although i kinda am drawn to watch it just cos bryan singer is producing it)
